GUITAR
Yamaha Music School offers a comprehensive and engaging range of guitar courses tailored for both children and adults. These courses follow Yamaha’s internationally recognised curriculum, such as the “Guitar Encounters” program—that blend technique, repertoire, music theory, sight‑reading, ear training, and ensemble playing. Group classes (typically 6–8 students) or one‑to‑one options are available. Each course offers opportunities for performance and optional exams.

GUITAR ENCOUNTERS
Guitar Encounters teaches electric guitar to students aged 8 and up, through teen years and into adulthood. With a focus on building a repertoire across musical genres, developing strong technique, improving sight reading, understanding theory and ear training, we aim to produce well-rounded guitarists.
Aspiring guitarists of all ages will master a versatile range of styles whilst acquiring the knowledge and abilities to become skilled musicians.

ACOUSTIC GUITAR
The acoustic guitar is a versatile instrument that features prominently in music from Ed Sheeran to Oasis. Its bright tone is ideal for strumming crowd-pleasing anthems.
This course, aimed at age 8 upwards, develops technique, music theory, reading standard and tab notation, fingerpicking styles and extensive chord knowledge through a diverse repertoire spanning multiple genres.
