Louis Tyson

Louis is a bassist and guitarist from Nottingham.

His interest in music began during the first Covid lockdown when, out of boredom, he started learning some of his dad’s instruments, playing with friends and releasing silly songs with his band.

Years later at Newcastle University, finding little satisfaction in studying computer science and having spent years writing and recording his own pieces, he made the switch to the music course. Here he met like-minded people and particularly enjoyed the process of writing, rehearsing and performing as a group.

Today, he teaches part-time and works with his function band, The Jays, while continuing to explore new musical territory jamming with friends and recording at home.
