Will Cotton
From a young age, Will Cotton was drawn to music, unable to resist tapping rhythms on anything he could get his hands on. Recognising his natural enthusiasm, his parents enrolled him in his first drum lesson—an experience that sparked a passion which has stayed with him ever since.
Determined to take his passion further, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and Studio Production, followed by a Master’s degree in Advanced Studio Production, both from the University of Salford. These experiences not only refined his technical and performance skills but also equipped him with the knowledge and tools to create, record, and release his own music.
Will believes there is no greater feeling than collaborating with fellow musicians—building an idea from nothing in a rehearsal room and then bringing it to life on stage in front of a live audience.
He is passionate about offering others the same opportunities he was fortunate to have, knowing that a lifelong journey in music can begin with just a single drum lesson.
Will teaches Drums at our North Shields school.
